Group team is in the finalist for Great Lakes Challenge 2023-2024

Group team members, Zhikun Chen, Zheng Wang, Qi Feng, and Xuelin Tian, participated in the competition for Great Lakes Challenge 2023-2024. Their team, MAXINANO, was selected as the finalist for the Challenge which invited talented young innovators from across Canada and the USA to bring their skills and passion to tackle freshwater issues impacting the Great Lakes. They are developing electro-sorption technology that attracts and captures charged plastic particles in water, filling the gaps in traditional filtration systems. This technology is being integrated into home purifiers and wearable devices to combat microplastic and nanoplastic pollution.
