On May 22, 2025, group members attended 23rd Global Joint Seminar on Geo-Environmental Engineering (GEE 2025) at Concordia University. Huifang Bi made the presentation entitled “Advancing Shoreline Oil Spill Cleanup: Bio-based Coatings for Oil Removal and Biodegradation”; Yueyu Su made the presentation entitled “Spatiotemporal Evolution and High-Anomaly Assessment of Wildfire Impact Based on AOD Analysis”; Ziyu Wang made the presentation entitled “The Life Cycle of Waste Printed Circuit Board Management in Isolated Island Communities”; Linxiang Lyu made presentation entitled “The Degradation of Polylactic Acid Face Mask Components in Different Environments”; Xiaohan Yang made the presentation entitled “Settling Dynamics of Microplastics in Estuarine Environments: Influence of Suspended Particulate Mat”; Zhikun Chen made the presentation entitled “Influence of Environmental Factors on the Temporary Storage of Microplastics in Ice”; Rezvan Iravani made the presentation entitled “Assessing Coastal Sensitivity to Pollution in the Canadian Arctic Using A GIS-based Approach”; Shuyan Wan “An EMA-Based Optimization Framework for Green Infrastructure Systems Under Climate Change”; and Poune Malekiazar made the poster presentation “Modeling the Transport and Distribution of Microplastic in the St. Lawrence River”.
